DCV One is an upgraded version and the last in a series of eight Pentagone semi submersible rigs in the world currently not committed for either reactivation or drilling. DCVOne has had all her drilling equipment removed and is available for reactivation or conversion to accommodation or production.  

Rig PTL (sister to DCV One) has a 5 month contract in 2007 at USD 300,000 /day. 

DCVOne, has no drilling ban/drilling restrictions is five years newer than her recently sold sister rig, Viking Producer (ex Pan Producer) which was purchased in June 2006 for  $15.5 million, by Viking Drilling ASA, Norway. Viking Producer was built in the same shipyard as DCV One. In addition to the initial purchase price Viking Producer is currently undergoing a $125 million dollar reactivation, re equipment programme in the Gulf Copper Shipyard in Galveston Texas.
